The discipline of Statistics analyses and develops methods to interpret and draw scientific conclusions from data. The main research areas at the Division of Statistics are time series analysis/econometrics and structural equation modelling.

 We offer awards totalling £250,000 every year, with each international scholarship worth £3,300. These are open to prospective full-time postgraduates in any subject area on a one-year taught masters degree. Scholarships are available for both September entry and January entry (for courses with a relevant start date).


You can apply online for scholarships for September 2011 entry. Please note that we cannot consider applications received after the deadline. Remember that the scholarships application procedure is separate from the admissions application procedure.  Before you begin your application, please make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria.

 We offer up to ten scholarships for undergraduate students for September entry. The scholarships are open to prospective full-time undergraduate students in any subject area for each year of a three-year course (subject to satisfactory progress). Foundation degree students (first or second year entry) are also eligible for the scholarships.

The Southern Oregon University (SOU) International Cultural Services Program (ICSP) provides approximately 20 international undergraduate and graduate students with grants of about $9000 USD per academic year ($3,000 USD per term) toward tuition at SOU.  Partial grants are sometimes awarded.  Once accepted to this competitive program, students who perform satisfactorily are normally able to continue with ICSP support until they complete their program at SOU.

We are looking for bright interns to join our team. The internships typically take between four and twelve months, and we accept applications at all times. FSFE operates in a lively environment of numerous volunteers from many countries and several full-time employees.

 

The interns will work as full-time office employees in Berlin, Germany. This involves contributing to our ongoing projects and many other tasks: implementation of PR activities and communication with contacts from the community, NGOs, industry, and public administration, as well as general office tasks. The intern will coordinate volunteers and FSFE team members during work on various projects. She or he will also manage the president's travel plan and occasionally accompany the president on his travels.
