The Department of Media, Film, and Journalism Studies in the Divisions of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at the University of Denver invites applications for a lecturer-postdoctoral fellow beginning Fall 2010 with a three-year contract, renewable annually.  This position is designed for individuals who have recently completed their Ph.D. with the opportunity to participate in career development workshops and our division-wide faculty mentoring program.  Eligible candidates will have received a Ph.D. no earlier than May 2007.

Forester Scholarships, ranging from $3000 to $8000, recognize a dedication to academics, the arts, sciences and community. The University of Pittsburgh School of Arts and Sciences Announces a New Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for 2011

For the first time, the University of Pittsburgh School of Arts and Sciences is offering up to eight postdoctoral fellowships in the humanities and social sciences to begin in January 2011. These inaugural fellowships are designed to attract excellent scholars from outside the University of Pittsburgh and to offer junior scholars the time, space, and financial support necessary to produce significant scholarship early in their careers.

The International Award is given automatically to non-native English speaking applicants who qualify based on a review of a student's English language proficiency level at the time of acceptance. To qualify for the International Award, applicants must be admitted as an F-1 degree seeking student and hold a valid I-20 form which will be issued by Mount Union and must not have completed their entire secondary school education in an English curriculum.

COWI A/S invites applications for postgraduate researchers to work in the Major Bridges Departments section for Structural Dynamics, in the field of Non Destructive Evaluation for the maintenance of large traffic structures. The positions are granted by COWI and the European Commission, under the FP7-PEOPLE-ITN project SMARTEN (http://www.smarten-itn.eu/), on Smart Management for Sustainable Human Environment, and are expected to lead to a PhD at the end of the 4-year project time-frame.
