The PhD program in Business Administration of the University of Bologna trains brilliant researchers in the fields of management, by offering courses in several areas such as organization theory, business strategy, marketing, technology and innovation management, research methods, advanced statistics, econometrics. Brown University's Center for Digital Scholarship (CDS) and the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage (JNBC) are seeking individuals to apply for a fellowship to direct the digital aspects of the Fox Point Community History Project. The digital fellow will work with faculty and staff in both the CDS and JNBC as well as other Brown faculty and students undertaking related work to develop an online public history resource that incorporates oral history, primary documents (photographs, letters, clippings), geospatial data, documentary film, statistical data and other materials. A postdoctoral position is available in a newly opened laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The research interest of the lab is on biochemical dissection of E3 ligases in cancer pathways using approaches including protein chemistry, biochemical purification, molecular and cancer cell biology and genetic screen with shRNA library. The ultimate goal of this lab is to develop anti-cancer drugs through identification and characterization of cancer relevant E3 ligases as potential drug targets.
The MyCare project is a joint initiative of the Computer Science Department of the University of Groningen and of the Department of Psychiatry of the Groningen University Medical Hospital. MyCare aims at building information technology tools to support patients with schizophrenia for personal recovery and risk assessment. The tools are tested with actual patients in a controlled environment. This exciting PhD project combines the creation of innovative software tools with actual medical field work. The position is financed in the context of the Dutch ZonMW program for medical innovation. Another PhD student will be hired to work on the MyCare project in the field of Psychiatry.
